An au pair for your family
An au pair lives in your home and helps with childcare and light housework. For parents, this means a familiar face and continuity throughout the exchange year.
We handle the entire process for you: the initial consultation, screening the au pair, submitting the application to the IND, and providing support throughout their stay. This leaves you with more time for your work and for precious moments with your children.
Why Families Choose Aur Pair Agency Mondial
We are an agency with more than thirty years of experience, and we offer personalized placement services provided by someone who understands the au pair experience from both sides.
Founder Elena van Raaij-Savchenko was an au pair herself in the Netherlands and Denmark and also has experience as a host family. She knows what it’s like to welcome a stranger into your home—and how rewarding it is when the match is right. That’s why we remain involved throughout the au pair’s entire stay with your family.

A Warm Home for Everyone
Why choose a host family?
No morning stress
Together, you’ll set up a schedule that fits your workweek. An au pair is allowed to perform light duties for up to 30 hours per week and 8 hours per day, so the care is tailored to your schedule rather than fixed business hours.
A familiar face at home
Your children will be cared for by the same person every day—someone they know and trust. This provides a sense of security and routine, both for the children and for you.
A new language and culture
Your children will grow up learning a second language and gaining insight into another culture—through play and as part of their daily lives. The au pair shares her background, and your family shares Dutch life with her.
Light Household Help
In addition to caring for the children, the au pair helps with light household chores. No heavy lifting or cleaning on demand: the rules are set and we discuss them in advance.
