Requirements for Candidates
- Age: 18 to 26 years old
- EU citizenship
- Strong motivation and a sense of responsibility
- A knack for working with children
Guidelines for Au Pairs
Au Pair
Works 5 to 6 hours a day, 5 days a week Babysits 1 to 2 evenings a week 2 days off per week Pocket money: €70–€75 per week
Au Pair Plus
Works 6 to 7 hours a day, 5 days a week Babysits 2 to 3 evenings a week 2 days off per week Pocket money: €80–€100 per week
Duties of the Au Pair
As an au pair, you’ll be part of the host family and help with: Caring for and supervising the children Light housework, such as doing laundry, ironing, and dusting Preparing simple meals Supporting the family with daily activities
Requirements for Au Pairs
You must have a valid passport or ID card. Travel expenses to and from Spain are at your own expense. Any costs for a language course are the responsibility of the au pair. The au pair will stay with the host family for the agreed-upon period. If an early return is necessary, the host family must be notified at least two weeks in advance. Respect, responsibility, and commitment toward the host family are essential.
Health Insurance
Valid health insurance is required during your stay in Spain. Candidates must have: European health insurance from their home country, or Private health insurance that is valid in Spain.
Program Costs
The program fees are paid by the au pair. Length of stay: 1–3 months €300 Length of stay: 3–12 months €450
